Half finished

I always start things and am never able to finish them. There are various words to describe me - Lazy, Careless, Apathetic, Dilly dallying, Idle, Lagging... etc(you get the picture) and for some reason i haven't been able to motivate myself. Oh i try(okay maybe not so much but a little i do) but somehow i never succeed. I've always been that girl who can talk 40WPM(words per minute) or that girl who is such a clown, now i'm soon to become that girl who leaves everything half way through too.
I recently started working as i've mentioned before in one of my posts in a job i've wanted since i was 7. I never wanted to be an actor, doctor, teacher( get that shocked look of your face), i have always wanted to be in the art business and now i am. However i cant seem to be motivated enough to do anything.
Its easy for me to blame everything i can( myself included) but i still don't do anything about it.. I tried Zumba a couple of months ago and it actually worked(no they are not paying me) but it did, but for some reason i stopped..
I keep thinking my motivation is out there in that big bad world of ours but i just don't have the balls to go and grab it! I Always wonder whether my dreams will be half finished just like everything else, and then i realise i can't afford them to. So at the moment i'm just trying to pick myself up by writing this hoping i learn something..

Whats the rush?

Everyday on the way to or back from work something i have always noticed(i'm sure you have too) the number of people in/on their vehicles literally rushing( more like flying) to get somewhere. I have ALWAYS wondered where the hell are these people going?? I mean why are they in such a hurry? Where do they  have to go that they are willing to run over people and risk their own lives in the process.
They all can't be dying?or on the way to the hospital, and that's a hell allot of people to be  late for work. I mean hasn't the question ever come to your mind? You may have screamed it at them while they rush past you almost at the speed of light to where ever them seem to be going. But if you are one of those people please satisfy my curiosity and tell me WHERE ARE YOU GOING and WHATS THE RUSH? Considering you are the same people who do the EXACT same thing at night only with the high beam on( which makes me want to strangle you all)you cant be all Batman's and Superman's on the way to save us from doom so where are you going? Why is the need to save your own or somebody else's life not so important as it is to drive really fast. Today i saw a father with his family of three weaving through traffic on his motorbike honking continuously as if he was Moses and we were all just suddenly going to part and give way! His blatant disregard for his own family just showed me that he couldn't care less what he did to anyone else. Each and every driver such as him believe that nothing can happen to them, no one can harm them, its the power they feel from the vehicle underneath them that leads to such madness and later near fatal accidents!!
A request if you drive like that, PLEASE slow down, i don't care if your car/bike can go from 0 to 120mph in under 6 seconds(and frankly i don't care) but what i do care for is the people you almost kill(one of them being me sometimes).

Gods Among us.

We live in a world where religion, faith, belief are words that are used on an everyday basis in any forum possible. Be it politics, food, art or entertainment? The story of different gods is well known to all of us be it the Greeks, The Vikings, Hindu's, Christians or Muslims. However the same gods that bring us together today are the one's that seem have been tearing us apart. We live in a world filled with so much hypocrisy that we often let reality slip right pass us. We let the good things go because we believe in our own way, that each one of us are pleasing god somehow, gaining ourselves into his good books destined for heaven. And then there is the constant debate over whether heaven/hell really exist.
People go through to much of trouble to try and prove that which may or not be there that we go on to ignore that which is really there. To loosely define the word ''God'' in my own words it means to have faith and belief in something/someone with a worldly sense and power. Well then i believe there are gods among us, gods are all those parents out there who strive to do the best they can by their child/children, god is each and every soldier who puts his life to risk while we sleep well at night, gods are all those every firemen who don't think twice about themselves, gods are those teachers who take time out to help those in need, gods are those doctors who give and help everyone without thinking of their gains.
The way i see it there are gods everywhere but we are just too blindsided by what we have been made to believe that we don't see the self made gods that surround us everyday!
Look around you, you me be surprised by what you see, its time to stop dreaming and face reality.

A start

I recently started working  for my parents at their Art gallery, now all my life i have always wanted to be in this business, always wanted to take it somewhere big. However having just graduated from college i sadly cant put all my mind into this. I wanted to study further but that plan got dashed by the fact that my dad said that the course i want to do is quite inconsequential. It kinda hurts when your own father tells you this but maybe he has a point right.. I mean parents are supposed to know best and want whats best for their kids. So for now i am taking a chance on my dad and going to try immersing myself into helping him build "my lifelong" dream because as i tell myself every morning when i wake up.. This is all going to be worth it in the end.

Looking Back

I'm that kind of a person that when i start something i very excited about it and i love to do it.. but sadly only for a short period of time.. Looking back i realise i have started many things only never to ever complete them.. Take my blog for example..i was so enthusiastic about blogging but suddenly that kind of died down.. but now i have decided to follow through in life.. To try my best and finish whatever it is i may start..In life we all know we should never have those "What If" moments as they can never be too good for us.. However looking back i realise at the age of 20 i already have a lot of them. Sad but true. In the kind of world we live in opportunities and life pass you by very easily and quite often we are so immersed in doing nothing we let such things pass us by.
I know i don't speak for every one when i say that i have many regrets as there are many people who love to live life to the fullest without having to ever look back and think what if.. I am in a stage of life right now that i am fully aware of that i will look back upon and think what if and pondering over it every agonizing minute of my life isn't really helping my situation but as i said i am going to try and make a difference in my life. I think everyone should. No harm in trying is there( okay there maybe a little harm but then again no pain no gain)

Under my umbrella

AAA! when the sun shines we'll shine forever, know I'll be here forever!
How does anyone not love the rain is a question that is quite frequently asked to me, as i hate the rain. There is quite a simple explanation for that in fact. In India or maybe at least in the places i have experienced the rain, it causes floods, water held up all over the roads and don't even get me started on the mush and garbage all over the place!!! Its crazy here when it rains, it can only be appreciated while sitting in a room with a blanket around you and a good book in your hands as this way your not getting wet! Walking on the roads is an absolute mess as as you walk the muck from the ground gets kicked by your shoes and ends up on your jeans, top, hands, bag whatever your wearing basically! As a kid sure i loved to play in the mud and make mud pies etc. But as you grow up to be going some where important only to land up there take a look in the mirror and realize that HEY I'm covered in muck!Driving on these roads (not that i drive) but the water sometimes stops the engines midway, the traffic is unmanageable and the cops dont want to be out on the streets themselves so accidents happen!
I want to go one place just to enjoy the rain without the slush just to see what all the fuss is about!

Sex in the city

Welcome to chennai city, tamil nadu India, population 4.2million(yup it's true). Now the world i live in here is slightly bigger than a fish bowl but still in something through which everyone keep's looking at you. Like many cities all over the world my city too has those men who seem to act as if they have never seen women before in their lives. As a woman i feel violated each time i walk the roads of my city, as it seems the gazes of every man seem to be centered on you. In a Bollywood movie which came out not too long ago was a line from a woman to a man when he was staring at her chest saying "they don't talk i do". In my opinion should be the cover of some book as it seems that most men seem to be staring in that vicinity. Its quite disheartning considering that not all men are like that, i hold allot of respect for many of my male counterparts but when such incidents occur the whole gender is ostracized sadly. Just the other day my four friends and i were walking to the mall which was ten minutes walk and in those ten minute it seemed as if we had stopped traffic as every man who was either walking, driving and riding had stopped to stare at us. All this when we were wearing our normal t-shirts and jeans, not even something revealing. Their stare's made me think i had some sign on my fore head saying "STOP AND LOOK".
If you ask me as this is never EVER going to stop in any part of the world women should start charging men to just glance their way. As soon as we reached the mall one of my friends Prerna actually turned to me and another friend  Shikha and said "did you see how we had somehow stopped traffic". Now the roads are bad, but the malls!!! Dear god we might as well wear bed sheets and walk around as boys and men alike walk around in groups of five to six and station themselves all over the mall stand there and stare at whomever walk by. And the one thing you notice apart from the fact that none of them look good is that they all have their phone's out. Quite often you find that even when you stare such individuals back in the eye they just don't back off. For reasons like this most girls hate to get out of the house. Though Chennai is much better of than the rest of the country i have realised that with men like this not even god can help us.
The best part about this is that it doesn't stop with the men, the women are THE BEST, you could be walking past them in a perfectly fine shirt and jeans while they would be wearing something which looks like it has recently been through the shredder and spit out then cut up with a pair of scissors along with HIIIIGH heels which have the BIGGEST gem stones stuck on to them and carrying bags which carry the tag of the prestigious brand DOLGE DOLGE(nope i dint mess up the spelling, this is the latest brand to carry =D), and they stare at you giving you the one over with a look in their eyes saying where did you come from. Its actually quite hilarious. Atleast you can laugh at the women, however with the men you start coming up with plans on how to brainwash the whole gender.
